Transformation through the Holy Spirit
61Labs isn’t about creating programs and changing church to what you think it should be, we’re about helping you discern what the Holy Spirit wants from YOU.

Podcast
61Labs is producing The Wrong Box Podcast seeking to uncover our differences and finding common ground between all of us. By simply talking, we can heal the world.
We all have a box where we instinctually put things that we perceive as “wrong.” What if we were able to look in that box and figure out why we put that thing there?

What is the purpose of 61Labs?
The purpose of 61 Labs is not simply to produce resources about transformation. Our purpose is to:
Create, cultivate, and steward transformational environments where people and communities can intentionally place themselves in the presence of the Holy Spirit for ongoing formation.
This purpose allows 61 Labs to engage across a wide range of expressions, including:
- individuals seeking deeper formation
- local churches and faith communities
- collaborative partners and aligned organizations
- worship and liturgical design
- teaching and facilitation
- podcasts and public conversations
- church renewal and communal discernment processes
Each of these expressions serves the same underlying aim: the careful stewardship of environments where transformation may occur.
What does 61Labs do?
At its core, the work of 61 Labs is environmental rather than instructional. We focus on how spaces are held, how practices are shaped, and how people are invited to encounter God and one another.
Our environments are designed to help people become:
- more human, not more certain
- more curious, not more defended
- more grounded in shared humanity, not hardened by difference
We understand openness, humility, curiosity, and relational courage as fruits of the Spirit—not personality traits, political stances, or intellectual achievements.
What does 61Labs NOT do?
This work is not primarily:
content creation
church consulting
curriculum development
podcasting
worship design
While 61 Labs may engage in all of these activities, they are instruments, not the work itself.
We are not seeking to:
- convince people of correct ideas
- move people toward predetermined positions
- win arguments
- produce ideological alignment
Instead, we seek to reshape how people relate—to themselves, to others, to difference, and to God.
How does 61Labs operate?
61 Labs is structured to support shared learning, ethical collaboration, and long-term impact. Our operating model balances two core commitments:
- Stewarding work created together for the common good
- Respecting the independence and creativity of individual contributors
This balance allows us to protect funder-supported work while cultivating trust, innovation, and sustainability over time.
Does 61Labs offer free resources?
Absolutely. 61Labs provides content, teaching, videos, and media completely free of charge.
